DailyLog

Page history last edited by PBworks 16 years, 7 months ago

Use the DailyLog to keep track of the work that you do

  • Save copies of the code that you write and the classes you create
  • Make links from your DailyLog page to programs you create and the classes they generate.
  • Make written notes of the things you discover as you do the day's work.
  • Keep track of questions and problems you encounter as you do the day's work.

here is an example of the content that can be included on a Daily Log - KjellChapterNotes

Start by putting the date at the top of the page

9-24-07

then add a note about what you intend to do for the period.

As you go, you will create some code. Periodically, you should make some notes about what concepts you are working on, and what you are doing with those concepts.

You will write code.

Save your code by uploading it. You can upload the classes in the same way.

You can link to the code as well, but this is not required.

At times you will be asked to print your daily log or your upload page.

here is how to make these prints

To print your daily log:

View the page as a webpage, not in edit mode.

Select the text from your most recent entry to the earliest entry which has not been printed.

Choose print from the File menu, click the selection box.

When it prints, you should be able to see the name of your wiki at the top, that will identify you.

As a marker to show when you printed, put three dashes to make a horizontal line ---

The line should look like this

Next time you are in class, you will make a similar entry, date at the top, info about what you did below the date.

The earliest entries should be at the bottom of the page, the most recent will be at the top.
